I am a Masters/CIPD-qualified learning and development professional, project manager, researcher and writer with a background in advertising and marketing, human resource management, academia and research. I have over 15 years’ experience in not-for-profit and private sector organisations, complemented by various voluntary roles. I have recently added two years of overseas experience to this through my work with VSO in Cambodia. This involved advising a small local NGO on their marketing and management affairs, including the delivery of training and coaching support for the leadership team.
In my career to date, I have led and managed a diverse range of projects, some delivered within the context of my employment history, and some self-conceived and directed. I have recently completed a consultancy project on behalf of D&AD, analysing learning needs within creative organisations and developing interventions in response to these. I have also been engaged with product development within the context of my independent research into hand-painted advertising around the world. This has included the launch of walking tours in London, the publication of a calendar and the forthcoming screening of the films Sign Painters and Horn Please.
People tell me that I am passionate, creative, organised and personable, with strong attention to detail. I enjoy turning these talents towards the success of all the projects that I’m involved with, especially the learning that comes from pushing myself in new directions. I am currently available for work on a freelance basis.
